Come and explore the cartographic treasures of one of the most important university collections in the Czech Republic. The Map Collection of the Faculty of Science serves teaching, research and the public, and its holdings include more than 69,000 catalogued works. During the tour you will learn about the collection’s rich history and its present, see digitised rarities and discover modern projects such as the Digital Map Collection and the Globe Collection with 3D models.

Next to the Map Collection you can also see the exhibition Hic sunt Slavi. The unique cartographic work of Pavel Josef Šafařík, one of the most important Slavic scholars of the 19th century, has received international recognition of the highest kind: it has been inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register. The exhibition marking the inscription is open daily from 9:00 to 17:00.
